How did she copy from the editor into the console? I tried cntrl+c and cntrl+v but it doesn't work.

she copied: course = {'teacher': 'Ashley', 'title':'Introducing Dictionaries', 'level':'Beginner'}

into the console, how?

Make sure you type 'python3' then hit enter to activate the python shell. You'll know the shell is active if you see '>>>' before your cursor. Note that on Mac the key combos are 'command + c' & 'command + v'
