How do i add a class attribute?

I am struck on the coding part trying to add a div to my html and it keeps saying i must add a class attribute. how do i do this?

    <div>
      <div class="favorite_stuff">
      <h4>Favorite Foods?</h4>
      <input name="food[]" type="text">

It's asking you to add the "class" attribute to the existing <div> elements. In your example above you are adding a new div with the class attribute. Try removing the div element you created and adding the class attribute to the div element above each one your created.

where is your js? you should be able to address it in a couple steps: 1) create a div el 2) set the div classname ie div.className = 'favorite stuff'; https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/prop_html_classname.asp 3) append div
