Development Tools Introduction to Git First Commits Staging Changed Files

How do I add the modified file to the staging area?

I figured if I'd use -A I would be able to input all modifications of the file into the staging area.

Hi Fernando!

This is sufficient:

git add chapter1.txt

(All that file's changes will be staged, as you are staging the whole file.)

And to commit:

git commit -m "Add plot twist"

I hope that helps.

Stay safe and happy coding!
