How do I change h1 tag to purple

Where am get wrong

<!doctype html>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">

    <h1>Welcome to My Web Page!</h1>

Hello! The issue seems to be the element the color is being applied to. It looks like you're trying to apply the purple color to the <body> tag. While that would technically work, and would change the heading's color to purple, it would also affect all other elements on the page inside the body.

The challenge is asking you to make just the h1 tag purple. That means you need to target just the h1, like this:

h1 {
   color: purple;

Good luck!

Select based on the h1 tagname not the body tagname
