How do I check if a file changed in Python?

We are trying to use Python to check if a file changed or updated in powerpoint. But I'm struggling how I gonna write that program in Python. Can somebody give me a advice on this or any resources that could help to make this program. Thank you

You might want to try StackOverflow for this one. if you're doing it to learn, google polling for platform independence. For Windows, Microsoft has an api that simplifies this.

Maybe look at win32file and win32event for windows?
