Java Java Objects (Retired) Creating the MVP For Each Loop

How do I compare each tile in the for loop to increase counter when theres a match.

public int getTileCount(char tile){ int counter = 0; for(char t :mHand.toCharArray()){ if(t == tile){ counter ++; } }

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  private String mHand;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    mHand = "";
  }

  public String getHand() {
   return mHand;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
    mHand += tile;
  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
   return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
  }

  public int getTileCount(char tile){
    int counter = 0;
    for(char t :mHand.toCharArray()){
      if(t == tile){
        counter ++;
      }
    }
}

The loop you have written does count the tiles correctly, the only thing missing from your method is the return statement that returns the counter variable and a closing bracket to close off the method, once you add that your code will pass the challenge.

Thanks for this answer, for some reason I did not assume we were to have the tile as an argument, I was struggling. Thanks.
