how do i do this step in python: finally create an email_greeting variable with loves and treehouse.

you can set the variable like this:

email_greeting = "{} loves {}".format(treehouse, name)

Boris' answer is also correct. Another viable way that was taught previously simply uses the + operator to concat the strings.

name = 'Charlie'
treehouse = 'Tree' + 'house'
# Notice you need to place spaces around the middle word so that it doesn't come out as CharlielovesTreehouse.
email_greeting = treehouse + ' loves ' + name
