How do I get Work Spaces on my own computer outside of Treehouse?

Atom is fine for those more advanced in programming. If you're not as advanced, I strongly suggest you use something like Visual Studio Community Edition, Visual Studio Code + DotNet core libraries.

Go to https://atom.io/ and download the version that is right for your system. There are other ones but this is the one i use.

There is no reason to use Atom for .net development when Visual Studio Community is free and an actual IDE
