How do I link the navigation menu of my single page website to bring me to a different point than top of the page?

I am building a site that has a single page layout. I would like the menu to take me to different points in the page. Right now, every menu item just takes me to the top of the page.

I have googled it and am failing to find some reference. Help? :)

Hi Spencer,

What you will want to do is utilize id's to link certain parts of your website to your navigation. I highly recommend going over the course 'Class and ID Selectors' by Guil. Video Link Jump to 10:10 in the video.

I've also built a basic menu using id's at Codepen Click Here

I can go into more detail if necessary. Let me know.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks a ton Max! I actually did some more research and came across anchors and was able to link my menu directly to it!

Thanks for the info!
