Ruby Ruby Operators and Control Structures Ruby Control Structures Elsif challenge

How do I set the elsif statement? Tried many different ways.

elsif answer == car_speed == speed_ limit going_speed_limit = true end

This didn't work

ruby.rb
car_speed = 55
speed_limit = 55

if car_speed < speed_limit
  too_fast = false
else
  too_fast = true
end
elsif car_speed == speed_limit
  going_speed_limit = true
end

You have an extra "end" right before the elsif clause! Try getting rid of the "end" before the elsif (and keep the end after the elsif)

Good luck!

Hope this helps, Alex

Using an "elsif" statement, modify the code below to check whether or not the car_speed is equal to the speed_limit. If it is, set the variable "going_speed_limit" to true.

car_speed = 55 speed_limit = 55

if car_speed < speed_limit too_fast = false else too_fast = true elsif car_speed == speed_limit going_speed_limit = true end

In challenge It gives a "Bummer" message with the code in the comment below.

Also, you always must have "else" at the end of the condition (sorry I forgot to tell you). This means elsif come right before the else.

if (some_condition)
   # Put some code here
elsif (some_other_condition)
   # Put code here
else
  # This code runs if none of the conditions are true
end

Thx, very clear follow up answer.
