How do I stay after css animation plays?

I created this fading out text animation, how can I make sure the text stays faded away tho. Because the text comes back.

opacity: 0; animation: fadeOut; animation-duration: 2s; animation-delay: 2s; }

@keyframes fadeOut { from { opacity: 1; }

to { opacity: 0; } }
