Courses Plus Student 108 PointsHow do I use iBeacons?
I want to make an iPhone (or any low cost device/transmitter) an iBeacon, so when the user who has installed my application comes within 10m of the iBeacon a notification will come on their phone and will open the app when the notification is pressed. What can I use as a transmitter besides and iPhone and would a user who doesn't have my all installed also recieve a notification? Language- Swift

Courses Plus Student 108 PointsThanks, that sounds great. How exactly do I programme it to send the notification that I want? (Sorry still a bit new to this)

23,262 PointsI think that different vendors have their own SDK for their iBeacons.
Here is the page for the Developer info for Two Canoes iBeacons.

This is the documentation for Two Canoes SDK and iOS integration. http://docs.twocanoes.com/libbleu/

They have very affordable ibeacon transmitters and are a great solution. around $40 for a full featured sub powered beacon.
