How do you organise your bookmarks?

So, in my relentless quest for knowledge I find that I fill both my desktops with 100's of bookmarks of interesting and informative wed design articles / tutorials / inspiration. These end up in folders titled "Bookmarks to sort" - but I never get time to sort them out and I find myself Googling time and time again for that article I remembered reading.

Bookmarking in my browser doesn't seem to cut it as I can's search or categories in an intuitive way.

How do you guys manage your bookmarks so you can access them whenever and wherever you are?

Hello Ian, in a simple way:

I, personally, create a folder in Safari (or whatever browser you use) on the bookmarks bar for example: Web Design, Web Developer and so on... and inside of them I put the web pages that I found interesting (I've a tons of bookmarks maybe some useless bookmarks too) once I've done this I usually try to give them a "symbolic" name so I can remember their contents even few months later...

Hope I was not confusing as your bookmarks folder... I tried to explain it as simple as possibile!

I often use meaning bookmark names, folders and search. You might like try an extension that adds tagging. Or use a service like pinboard.

You might consider using Neater Bookmarks as an alternative interface to the Bookmark Manager that comes with Chrome.

Thanks guy's for your response.

I have over the years tried to organise my bookmarks using the Bookmark Manager ( Chrome ) but I guess I just haven't been clinical enough in my naming conventions ( so searching hasn't worked the best ). I just don't seem to make or have the time...

Anyway, I've committed to organising them correctly from now on ( which is a daunting task ) and I'm going to #tag them with an app I've found called Dewey.

If you know of an extension that can tag @bookmark, let me know as I'm not sold completely on the app.

Regards Ian.

I don't know an extension but have you ever tried something like Pocket? I do use Pocket as a "Read Later" tool, so I don't infill my Bookmarks with useless thing and I bookmark only what I really need.

I think read it later apps, solve a different problem.
