How do you save an integer in Spite Kit if the user closes the app and goes back on it.

I am trying to save a high score in the game.

1 Answer

You could use NSUserDefaults like this:

// Save score
int highScore = 100;
[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] setInteger:highScore forKey:@"highScore"];

// Load score
int highScore = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] integerForKey:@"highScore"];
Ideally you could save score in applicationWillTerminate: or applicationWillResignActive: in AppDelegate.

Don't know if this is efficient way, but this should work.
