How do you thank someone for answering a question? When I hit "Reply" it takes me back to the Forum.

I received several answers to a question that I asked recently, and I wanted to say thank you. But, when I hit "Reply to ____" it took me back to the Forum.

Hi Edward,

It's great to hear that you want to provide some feedback and show your thanks to Treehouse members who provided good answers to your question.

There are a number of ways you can show your gratitude to a user's answer on the Treehouse Forums.

Firstly, you can rate an answer as 'Best Answer'. This will show other Treehouse users with the same question where they can find a good answer.

Secondly, you can 'upvote' an answer. To do this, click the '^' up-arrow next to a user's answer. This will show your gratitude by automatically awarding Treehouse points to the user who posted the answer. It will also show other users the highest ranked answers for similar questions they may have.

Finally, you can click 'Add Comment' under their answer and write a Thank-you note to them to show your gratitude. Write whatever you want, and maybe even what made it a good answer and how it helped you. This will not only show your gratitude, but again help other users with the same question you had.

If you are struggling to find someone's answer to your question. When someone replies, you will be notified up in the top right-hand-corner of your Treehouse interface (the notification bell). Click on the notification and it will re-direct you to the answer.

I hope this helps

Keep up the good work

Hey John, I was wondering how can I become a moderator on Treehouse?

Teame,

Please create a new question on the forum rather than on top of someone else's question.

More people will be able to see your question and give you an answer then.

Thanks
