How I assign finalLapTimes[3] = lap3?

Set lap3 to the value in the third item of the finalLapTimes array. That's I had to do.

CodeChallenge.cs 
double[] lapTimes = new double[4];
lapTimes[0] = 2.2;


double[] finalLapTimes  = new double[]{2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8};


double lap3 = new double lap3;
finalLapTimes[3] = lap3;

You seem to be misunderstanding the task slighty.

The task is asking you to assign the third item of finalLapTimes to lap3. You seem to be attempting to assign a variable called lap3 to the value stored in the third item of finalLapTimes, which is the opposite of what the task is asking for.

On top of that you have to remember that indexes start at 0, so to get the third item from finalLapTimes you have to use an index of 2.

Like this:

double[] lapTimes = new double[4];
lapTimes[0] = 2.2;


double[] finalLapTimes  = new double[]{2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8};
double lap3 = finalLapTimes[2]; // Assign lap3 to third item of finalLapTimes

Edit: I accidentally mixed up a part of my explanation, making the meaning the opposite of what I meant. This has now been fixed.
