You have a semicolon after your if condition, that's causing your code to not work correctly.

Frank Montemurro, what Cooper wrote to you does work. I tried it myself. In order to pass this particular Challenge Task, your spelling error isn't going to matter. So it's really just that semicolon that needs deleting.

Second line of your app.js file - check the spelling after answer === "javEscript"

Edit: check the spelling on each word. Sometimes there is like an additional exlamation mark - ! Or something..
