I had programming skills before, but it didn't take long once I understood Objective-C. If you have had background in programming with languages like C, C++, Python, etc.. Objective-C may be a little, uh, 'weird', but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad.

Hey aurelien,

It took me about 3 months at a really leisurely pace of about 3 hours a week with no prior programming experience. anyways, I'm now building my own apps and am at a position in a company so 3 hours a week for 3 month but if you do like 10 for like 1 month you'll be job ready.

Best, Kai

Oh thats great then! :D I will probabily spend around 5 hours per day till well all the year maybe some exceptions about learning graphics etc... i did HTML and CSS plus i did some basics of JavaScript and PHP thought PHP not much and well i know some of those skills but i guess thats not enough . Thank you all, i really appriciate it ! :)

bdw does anyone of you use mac? if yes , do you like it? is it good to buy a mac for 1.6k pounds or a PC and a mac for 800? i just want to program apps and for my mum wordpress and sometime i will comeback to PHP but first i want to learn apps , thought i will buy mac in around 1-2 months since i need it to program in iOS for apps

I'm writing this from my MacBook Air, and I love it. It's a wonderful investment (much better than a PC, in my opinion), but I'd get a MacBook Pro with Retina Display, if I were you

I blew through the iOS course in about 2 weeks. I wrote a super (and I mean super) simple app as one of the extra credit problems about 4 days into it

Ill just go for graphics and print media and all that stuff. it will help me to make graphics for my apps :D Thank you , well MacBook Air , ill need to think about it :D thank you , I definitely buy a mac :D
