How long does it take to complete the Front-End Web Development track?

Of course this is different depending on one's level of experience, but does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to complete the entire front-end development track? I'm really busy, trying to fit this into an already pretty packed schedule, it would help to know about how many total hours I can expect to spend on it, the more detailed the answer the more helpful. Thanks in advance for the help ~

It has estimated amount of hours below the title banner, along the course path bar when you start it. Although I cannot recall what that time scale is.

I guess it all depends how many hours you can put in.

Once you begin a track it will give you an estimated time until completion. Of course this can vary, but it's usually fairly accurate. I've already completed 2 out of the 12 components of the Front-end Web Development track, but it says I have about 52 hours left just to give you an idea. My suggestion if your short for time would be to watch the videos at a faster speed. I always watch my videos at 1.5x, and it can definitely add up!

Hope this helps! ~Kane M.

It very much depends on what you are trying to achieve, but I'd say every section beside CSS takes less than one day to complete. It's also usually better to watch videos at higher speed (1.25x-1.5x) to help your mind focus because sometimes they feel unnaturally slow.

I agree, the videos can feel unnaturally! Sometimes I'll go from 1.5x to 1 by accident and it's almost funny how slow it seems they talk.

It's a good question. I started the track just over 2 weeks ago and sped through the 'How to Make a Website', 'HTML' & 'CSS' stages quite quickly as I was already fairly competent. I was also faced with the desperate need to get my head around using Git in a hurry so I found myself jumping into that and the 'Console Foundations' stages completing them both within 3-4 days (but that was a solid stint).

At this point I have now almost completed 6 of the 12 stages in about 2-3 weeks, mind you I haven't been sleeping much lately (Working on a project that requires I'm up to date with this knowledge already). The track now tell me I have 23 hrs left.

I believe if you're diligent, have the time, and some prior understanding it could be achieved within a month

I came into this totally new. I have whizzed threw some of the parts, but there are some that can take me days to get down. I often get stuck on the projects which require a through understanding of the material. You really have to spend a lot of time with this to make it your own. At least that is my experience.

Im turning 67 in a couple of months. I wonder how many other fossils are out there learning to code. I love being confronted with something new and the mental process of learning which is what each lesson brings.

I had no prior coding experience and this track took me around 5-6 weeks to complete. I tried to put in around 3 hours a day. I would recommend if your a beginner to try to do the non required workshops to practice the skills taught in the lessons.
