How should I use the "Related Links"? Are they mandatory readings or should I considered them "cited sources"?

I'm just trying to best understand how to use the "Related Links" section. Sometimes, I just have time to watch the video and that's it. So, should I view the links are required, or should I see them as, "Just in case you want to know where we got this..." kinda' thing? Thanks!

It's just related information. More topics explained in further detailed or the like. Of course it's not required or "mandatory" by any means.
