how to add hello.txt if i haven't got it

Please help me with my problem. I have deleted the file by accident.

First check you are in the home directory. Try typing cd ~ , then type pwd . Now type ls to see if the file is there.

Depending what you want to do with the file, if it's not there, you could create your own using the touch command.

touch aNewFile.txt

I suggest you launch a new console or create that file. You might like to follow the 1st option if you don't remember what the file contains.
