How to concatenate and use an alias at the same time?

How can i concatenate the first name, last name and email address, and the alias it to "to_field"?

SELECT first_name ||" "|| last_name ||" <"|| email ||"> "|| id AS "to_field" FROM patrons;

if I dont include an extra column after email, the code wont run

The alias should come after the closing angle bracket. It may be the trailing space that you included with this bracket that is throwing it off.

SELECT first_name || " " || last_name || " <" || email ||">" AS "to_field" FROM patrons;

Ah I see now. Thank you for the help!
