4,345 Pointshow to do this
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
for n in names {
if n == name {
return n
}
return nil
}
if let culprit = search(name:"Grumpy"){
println("N Found: \(culprit)")
}
}

5,487 PointsYou have the placement of your curly braces wrong. You don't want that last bit, "if let culprit..." inside of your method.
It should look like this:
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
for n in names {
if n == name {
return n
}
}
return nil;
}
if let culprit = search(name:"Grumpy"){
println("N Found: \(culprit)")
}
