Treehouse TeacherHi there! I would first recommend that you go back and review the videos. It seems there is some misunderstanding about how a code block is created and how statements are ended.
<?php <!-- begin php block -->
$name = "Mike"; <!-- set our name equal to "Mike" and end the statement with a semicolon -->
echo $name; <!-- echo out the value of name and end the statement with a semicolon -->
?> <!-- end php block -->
I hope this helps, but I can't stress enough the importance of reviewing material if something is not clear. Happy coding!
