How to optimize for a Google Search of "BusinessX near me"

It seems to me that a lot of people are doing search based on location e.g. tacos in boho, best dentist in manhattan, bike repair near me etc.

I'm having trouble finding documentation on optimizing for this.

Anyone know the answer?

If you mean that you want to understand how your website can be written so that it obtains higher rankings from Google searches, then I suggest taking the SEO Basics course from Treehouse. Dan will tell you how to optimize your site for Google searches in a correct and legal way.

Hey Kenny, I appreciate you taking the time to answer me on this and sorry I took so long to get back to you. Yes, that is true. I took that course and it gave me a lot of great data. I'm thinking the answer for this specific question though lies somewhere in using Google's new product, "Google My Business" to the fullest. Also, clearly laying out your title tags like, "Capitol City Dentist | Johnson Dental" - this is an untested opinion. When reading about Google My Business, it seems that Google wants to rank local businesses higher so nothing special may need to be done besides connecting to Google My Business and applying White Hat SEO on your webpage.
