Android Build an Interactive Story App Intents and Multiple Activities Getting Data from an Intent

How to resolve this question

I'm always getting an error How to pass getIntExtra from intent into variable fuelLevel? I try with Intent intent = getIntent(); fuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");

The error always in intent.getIntExtra

FlightActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;

public class FlightActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

    public int fuelLevel = 0;

    @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_flight);

        // Add your code below!
    Intent intent = getIntent();
      this.fuelLevel = getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");
    }
}

Hi there, mochammad yalinulloh! You're pretty close here. First, the getIntExtra method should be performed in the Intent instance you just created. Secondly, the getIntExtra method takes two parameters as documented here. The first parameter is a String, which you already have, but the second parameter should be the default value of the Int.

I think you can get it with these hints, but let me know if you're still stuck! :sparkles:

owh i see... thank you...
