iOS Protocols in Swift Protocol Basics Protocols With Methods

HOW to set the newcolor

Challenge Task 2 of 2

For this task, make WifiLamp adopt the ColorSwitchable protocol. In the implementation of the method, simply set the color of the lamp to the new color.

protocols.swift
// Declare protocol here
protocol ColorSwitchable {
  func switchColor(_ color: Color)
}

enum LightState {
  case on , off
}

enum Color {
  case rgb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
  case hsb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
}

class WifiLamp {
  let state: LightState
  var color: Color
  func switchColor(color: Color) {
        self.color = color
    }

  init() {
    self.state = .on
    self.color = .rgb(0,0,0,0)
  }
  func switchColor(color: Color) {
        self.color = color

}

Three issues:

1) Make sure WifiLamp implements the protocol (e.g. class WifiLamp: ColorSwitchable)

2) Make sure the WifiLamp switchColor uses the same external parameter name (the underscore) that is used in the protocol.

3) You seem to have two class methods called "switchColor" in the WifiLamp class. Delete one. Having two functions with the same name will cause an error.

Do these things and your code should pass.
