        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

hey Naeem, Your code is right but You're selecting the first li

<li><p>Element Selection</p><button>Highlight</button></li>

if you need to select the first button inside the li, do this

const btn = document.getElementsByTagName('button')[0];

btn.addEventListener('click', function(e) {
  if (e.target.tagName == 'BUTTON') {

  }
});

Hello Naeem,

when I went through this code challenge I was also lost. You should think of e.target
The e.target 'position' the current click then just add previousSibling basically you are telling that target is the <p>something</p> element.
