Hi Valentine,

favorite_color is receiving user input on your first line. When you set it to "purple" on the second line you're overwriting that input. Since the goal is to print the user input (whether it's purple, red, blue, etc) the second line is preventing your code from passing.

Everything else looks solid though! Just remove your second line, resubmit, and you should be golden:

favorite_color = input("what is your favorite color")
print("The color", favorite_color, "is a great color!")
