How will I know when I am ready to apply for a Jr Ruby on Rails position?

I really like the framework, and have been tearing throw all the tuts on here along with the Rails the Hard Way book, and my question is what skills should I know and when will I be ready to apply for RoR jobs, specially entry level?

I tried applying for Jr. Dev in July, but I utterly failed at jQuery and RSpec (although they were impressed by my Rails skills). Now I know what I should learn and will try applying again in a month. Really depends on the company you want to apply to. You should check their preferred stack and maybe even ask them directly to know where to look for knowledge and what knowledge to look for :). I'm posting this as comment because maybe someone with better experience will post something more useful as an answer.

what issues did you have with jquery? I have found it infinitely easier than rails and rspec!

BTW I am no way purporting that I am at the level yet, I just am curious how far out I may be. Trying to see if I could land a position next year.

Oh, I know it's easy now. I just didn't know I'll need it for Junior position, so I didn't prepare :)

It really does depend, I applied for a design/developer position and didn't know rails so they thought me. Most startups around here are willing to teach juniors provided they have a solid basis.
