19,392 PointsHTML 5 is just an updated version of HTML. Some new tags/new purposes for them?
Check out the HTML Deep Dive to get some more information, some pretty cool and informative videos http://teamtreehouse.com/library/websites/html

If anyone is curious about which tags are new and which have new purposes you can check out these 2 lists from the HTML5 on the W3C's Wiki.
- List of the new tags in HTML5
- List of tags that are obsolete in HTML5

39,199 PointsW3Schools is not a reliable source of information as such that link has been redacted.
Instead use HTML Dog, Sitepoint Reference, DocHub.io, MDN or W3C's wiki.

13,998 PointsYou can remove w3schools from your search listings, hope this isn't in bad taste to post but here is a little website about why: http://www.w3fools.com/

39,199 PointsJonathan Rawlins - I don't consider that in bad taste at all, in fact I already linked to that very site in my post.

13,998 PointsAhh, I didn't spot that I am afraid. Glad it wasn't in bad taste though. :)

19,392 Pointsnice, HTML Dog. I worked my way through that site when I was like 14 or 15... Didn't realize that 7 years later I'd be coming back for more.

39,199 PointsJacob Miranda - HTML Dog is pretty sweet, as it was updated to HTML5 a few months back and now it's EMA (even more awesome).

Courses Plus Student 30 PointsWell essentially they are the same thing, only the versions differ. What you are referring to as HTML is probably HTML 4, or XHTML, either one is an outdated HTML language. The good news is that they are very similar, with some additions in HTML 5, so you to start learning just go into the library and start with the Build a Simple Website tutorial.
