I am a c# beginner and can't figure out the answer to the tutorial question: __word; word = "bird"; System.

I am a c# beginner and can't figure out the answer to these tutorial questions:

__word; word = "bird"; System.

___ letter; letter = 'c'; System.Console.WriteLine(letter);

Why isn't the answer "var"?

Can you provide a link to the actual quiz?

But if I guess just based on what I see here, perhaps the quiz wants you to be more specific in the declaration and identify these as "string" instead of just "var".
