I am a program administrator for Monroe Community College. I am interested in managing a group of students that will be using your online training curriculum.
Do you have a LMS that my instructors can track the progress of the students?

Treehouse sure does offer a LMS for Schools and Colleges - you can read more about it here. This link will give you a little insight into how the system works and what it offers for you.
The standard pricing for Treehouse in education is $9 per student per month however, you are best off discussing how many students you want to use Treehouse with using the Form provided on the education page so that a member from the Organisations Team can get back to you regarding this.
Hopefully your college can start using Treehouse soon and if you have any further questions, please do get in touch with the team :)

42,478 PointsI wish my school would have had something like this back in the day. So what if you're not an accredited university or school district but you want the same functionality for a youth program?

14,780 PointsHey John!
The educational discount of $9 per student per month applies to students who are currently in education - so if all of the members of the youth club were in education then I believe you should be eligible for the discount (Students can already sign up to Treehouse at this price). The team may ask you to provide some documentation to prove this, however.
If not all of the members are in education at the time, you may still be able to sign up at the discounted price just because of the nature of the program (Educational) so don't rule it out straight away!
Both are at Treehouse's discretion, so if this is something you are interested in then go ahead and give the team a shout and they'll get back to you as to whether or not you'd be eligible for the discount :)

42,478 PointsAwesome, this idea started because a buddy of mine is trying to figure out his son's (10yr old) interest, and he asked me to teach him coding and see if it took. But while I skilled enough to help guide, I am certainly not teacher material yet. Then I thought well heck why not teach more than one kid. So I've been tossing the idea around with a few other members of a local NPO.

14,780 PointsHey again John!
Just to let you know, I've just turned 16 last week and for the past year have been attending a Code Club here in the UK. I have to say myself, I love the experience of it and there's kids of all ages (7-17), all at different levels but everyone can work together on problems, and when people encounter them, chances are someone else already has before and knows how to fix it! Not only that, but I find I'm super productive when I have a full 2 hours coding - no distractions!
The kids all have a great time there, whether what they're doing is as simple as Scratch, or whether they're programming Raspberry Pi's. The mentors are always there to see what you're working on, and help you out if you get stuck.
In our club, we go by the idea of "Do whatever you want", nobody pushes onto us a specific subject to take. Sometimes you have kids new to code who don't know where to start - in which case, the mentors guide them through the basics and point them in the right direction. Perhaps this would be more difficult to do if you are the only teacher however, but either way works. Personally, I find I learn best by working on projects - so that I can build up to a final result.
Honestly, I think that it's great that you want to teach children about programming, and I started off in May 2014 with no experience whatsoever - it was something I'd seen around and was interested in, though I had no idea how to write any code! I was never shown a single line of code at school which meant I never knew whether I would enjoy it or not until I started. It was Treehouse and the club I attend that got me into code, and we need more people like you to teach others about all the awesome things you can do and make :)

42,478 PointsAwesome Harry James, I am 31 and an Android Developer (though a very novice one). Had there been a code camp, type initiative when I was young I'd be far better off because of it. I certainly feel I had an easier time picking up new concepts and retaining information when I was younger. Maybe it is all the hats I wear as an adult that is made it harder to learn or maybe it is neuroplasticity. Glad to hear this sort of thing has worked well for you.

42,478 PointsHarry James hey dude, do you have an email? I'd like to ask you more questions about your code camp like experiance.
