I am so confused

I am so lost with methods and this code challenge. Can someone please walk me through it??

first_class.py
class Student:
    name = "Your Name"

    def praise(name):
    return "You're doing a great job, {}".format(name)

You are very close.

  • this first parameter for the method should be self. This becomes the reference to the class instance. The parameter β€œname” is not needed since you will use an attribute reference.
  • the name is a attribute. When you are referring to an attribute, use self.attribute. In this case it is self.name. Use this reference in as the format argument.
  • the return statement needs to be indented yo be part of the praise method
