iOS Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift Views and View Controllers Designing Our App With Interface Builder

I am struggling with the Xcode environment, please help.

Hey all! I am struggling with using the Xcode IDE. I am following the tutorial of building a simple iPhone app and am facing two problems. problem 1: My mainstayboard keeps appearing in a separate window, which is insanely annoying and not like the video is showing. Is there a way to make it appear all in the same window? Problem 2: I am asked to add objects from the object library to the storyboard but it is saying there are no objects in the library at all.

Anyone else came across this?

Thomas,

I just ran into the same problem as you. The window comes as a different window.

I also figured out why. You keep on double clicking the main storyboard. Then it appears as a different window. Although, I am not so sure about the second problem, so just stick with delete and reinstall Xcode

Hey Thomas, What version of Xcode do you have? There might be a problem with the Xcode version, or you coded once, and something went wrong. I suggest you delete and reinstall Xcode or call/contact Apple. Maybe every time you are right clicking and it appears in a new window. My number one suggestion is to delete and reinstall Xcode.

Hey I was being silly and was doubling clicking. Thank you for getting back to me!
