I am unable to figure out what syntax they would like for this submit button

Thus far I have tried input type elements and the button element labeled submit and given value of submit and the editor says I should have the button within the form though it is already there.

    <form action="index.html" method="post">
      <h1>Shirt Order Form</h1>
 <label for="color"> Shirt Color: </label>
      <select id="color" name="shirt_color">

    <option value="red"> Red </option>
    <option value="yellow"> Yellow </option>
    <option value="purple"> Purple </option>
    <option value="blue"> Blue </option>
    <option value="green"> Green </option>
    <option value="orange"> Orange </option>
        <button type="submit"> place order </button>

        </form>

  </body>

The button is good, but you haven't closed your select element.

It still needs an end tag after the last option.

Aha thank you Steven. It makes sense if the element wasn’t closed there wouldn’t be anything for the button to submit to so it would appear to the editor there was no button there. Thanks again.
