JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Simplify Repetitive Tasks with Loops A Closer Look At Loop Conditions

I can not get this code correctly.

The code in app.js just opens a prompt, asks for a password, and writes to the document. Something is missing. Add a while loop, so that a prompt keeps appearing until the user types "sesame" into the prompt.

app.js
var sesame = x;
var secret = "What is the secret password?";
while (secret !== sesame) {
 var x = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

I think it wants you to test against "sesame". I've updated my answer to include some code. It's a little weird, because i think they should really be using a do while loop.

you're not testing on x. and var sesame = x; is a failure until x is defined. The following seems to pass the test.

var secret = "I'm a secret";
while (secret !== 'sesame') {
 secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Thank You!
