JavaScript React Authentication (2019) React Router and Authentication Preserve the User State with Cookies

I cannot sign in as a user.

I'm working on basic authentication with React. I set up my app as instructed. I even compared my code to the final project files provided with this Basic Authentication course, but still no luck.

After signing up, the app redirects me to the sign-in page. I put in the credentials that I created in the sign-up form. When I hit submit, the sign-in form returns Validation errors sign-in was unsuccessful.
