I can't figure out how to use a switch statements with tuples.

Hello.

I can't figure out how to use a switch statements with tuples. Please help me what part of my code is wrong.

Thank you very much :)

functions.swift
// Enter your code below

func getTowerCoordinates(location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
  switch coordinates {
    case "Eiffel Tower": (48.8582, 2.2945)
    case "Great Pyramid": (29.9792, 31.1344)
    case "Sydney Opera House": (33.8587, 151.2140)
    default: (0,0)
  }

  return (coordinates)
}

hi Jin,

AFAIK you need to pass in the item you want to check against, so here you would pass in the location not coordinates.

You would also need to return in the switch statement rather than outside it...

func getTowerCoordinates(location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
    switch location {
    case "Eiffel Tower": return (48.8582, 2.2945)
    case "Great Pyramid": return (29.9792, 31.1344)
    case "Sydney Opera House": return (33.8587, 151.2140)
    default: return (0,0)
    }
}
