I can't figure out the .nav-item shorthand for transition.

I think I've tried everything here....what am I missing? I need the shorthand to make the nav-item transition over one -half second. Thanks in advance....

You are very close!! You just have to tell it which property:

.nav-item {
    flex-grow: 1;
  transition: flex-grow;
  transition-duration: .5s;
