1,536 PointsI can't follow the video and code at the same time. I don't feel like I'm learning.
I can't follow along on sublime and concentrate at what the video is saying at the same time, how am I supposed to learn?

28,149 PointsHave you tried watching the video all the one through once, no interruptions, not coding. Than rewind the video and go back through it, pausing after each logical "step" and than code yourself up to that step. Replay the video until the next step is show, pause, code again, rinse and repeat.

7,073 PointsI just pause the videos all the time. I watch a little bit of the video, sometimes just a tiny snippet, then pause it and switch over to my Workspaces or text editor. I'm back and forth constantly. So realistically, it could take me a total of 20 minutes to get through a video that is maybe 6 or 7 minutes. And then sometimes I re-watch the video straight through right after that.
Time-consuming in the short run, but I find it to be a very effective way to learn the material solidly.

4,556 PointsTry taking notes, also write down the quiz questions and answers. Notes will give you a good idea of WHY and HOW you do what you do in each project. Seems to help me at least.

10,379 PointsWhen I watch, I have dual windows open, or if needed I just pause.

1,536 PointsI've tried pausing and doing the code on another window but I just don't feel like I'm learning, I just feel like I'm copying what they're doing without grasping the concept to do on my own. I always do the exercises and get it right along with the quizzes. I was just wondering if anyone's in the same boat.

4,266 PointsI often go back and watch the video again later, as I almost always pause the vids and work as I go and take notes. Sometimes I'll watch again right after, but often I do this after I've progressed a bit further, and also looked at other resources. Going back at a later point helps to really make the info fully 'click' into place for me.
