iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Control Flow With Loops Working With Loops

I cant't figure out what I am doing wrong on this!

Now that we have the while loop set up, it's time to compute the sum!

Using the value of counter as an index value, retrieve each value from the array and add it to the value of sum.

For example: sum = sum + newValue. Or you could use the compound addition operator sum += newValue where newValue is the value retrieved from the array.

loops.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below
while counter < 7 {
print ("")
counter += 1

  sum += numbers

}

It looks like you've got this pretty close. Remember though that numbers is an array and the way you have this written is to add the array object to the variable sum instead of the value of the indexed element within the array. Also, keep in mind that arrays are indexed starting with 0, so using counter as your index, where it is in your code, would start with the second element in the array instead of the first.
