You coded the image tag inside the wrong section element, you should add it inside the section element before the openning footer element.

I would restart the challenge to erase the code that you have now and add your code inside the <section></section> element like this

<ul> <li><img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt=""></li> <li><img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt=""></li> <li><img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt=""></li> </ul>

You will have to erase the previous code you have written during that particular step in the code challenge to start from square one. You should have only one of the following code, but instead you have three:

<ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li><img src="numbers-01.jpg"> <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li><img src="numbers-02.jpg"> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li><img src="numbers-06.jpg"> </ul>

The system that is reading your work is only expecting one set. The two others are causing the error.

You currently have your img tag in the incorrect spot. You will want to make sure to include it inside of your <li> tag like this:

<ul>
   <li><img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt=""></li>
   <li><img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt=""></li>
   <li><img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt=""></li>
</ul>

Hope this helps!
