JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Making Changes to the DOM Removing an Element from the DOM

I did what was asked but I'm still not passing.

Is my syntax wrong?

app.js
var myList = document.querySelector('ul');
var firstListItem = document.getElementById('first');
firstListItem.remove('first');
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    </head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
    <body>
        <ul>
            <li id="first">First Item</li>
            <li id="second">Second Item</li>
            <li id="third">Third Item</li>
        </ul>
        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

While the "remove" method exists (but it does not take an argument), it's not the method taught in the course.

Try doing this using "removeChild" instead.

For your own code, you can use "remove" as long as legacy compatibility is not a concern.

I'm sorry it's still not working for me.

Show the new code, perhaps there's a different issue.
