I don't get how to retrieve the value from the input

I am very confused as to what I am supposed to do here.

Hint: What happens when you change value attribute of input element? Can you make JQuery to manipulate that attribute?

Something like this:

//Get the user's input
  var titleValue = $titleInput.val();

You already defined the title input at the top:

var $titleInput = $("#title");

You can retrieve its value with the val() method.
