i dont get this problem in JavaScript

Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.

HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two.?

Hi Andres,

First of all, parameters that you pass into a function should not be integers but a regular string. You can name them whatever you want. In this example you could call them "numb1" and "numb2".

In your if statement you would then compare these two numbers like this if(numb1>numb2). your basically saying if number one is bigger than number two do what do we want to do. Well, we want to return the bigger number which means we would put the following into curly braces: { return numb1}.

Now in your else statement your basically saying if number1 is not bigger than return number two, which would look like this at the end : 

function max(num1,num2){
if(num1>num2){
  return num1
}
  else{
  return num2
  }

Why it asks for two numbers that could be whatever we want but it can't be integers?
