Hi brandon,

you declared a variable called "name" but it doesn't ask you to literally concatenate your name into the string, but it asks you to use your name variable to concatenate into the subject variable

I am used to putting ; 's at the end but itsn't required I just figured out..

name = "yourname";
subject = "Treehouse loves " + " " + name;

this passed for me
