1,495 PointsI don't know what is wrong with my code. It says that my css for background color is set wrong.
It is asking for me to set the background color to black.
Here is how I set up the code=
li:nth-child (even) { color: white; background-color: black; }
<!DOCTYPE html>

29,679 PointsYou have an extra colon in there after nth-child
. It should just be:
/* Write your CSS below */
li:nth-child(even) {
color: white;
background-color: black;
}

4,315 PointsHI Zack - you have a space in your css code that is causing it to fail. It should be like below:
li:nth-child(even) {
color: white;
background-color: black;
}
You cant have a space between the nth-child and the (even). Hope this helps.

29,679 PointsNo worries. I'd say things like that account for 80%+ of mistakes when starting out. And the most annoying thing is that error codes for those types of things aren't exactly specific, so it can get extremely frustrating.
