The checker is telling me to initialize numSides to 4, and I thought I did that please help.
namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
class Polygon
{
public readonly int NumSides;
public Polygon(int numSides)
{
NumSides = numSides;
}
}
class Square : Polygon
{
public readonly int SideLength;
public Square(int sideLength) : base(numSides = 4)
{
SideLength = sideLength;
}

231,269 PointsYou only need to pass the value as an argument.
The base constructor only takes one argument, and knows what it is for.
So instead of "base(numSides = 4)"
, you would write: "base(4)
".
