I don't understand at all. The question doesn't make any sense and I do not know how to solve the problem.

Should I create another variable? I'm so confused and I feel really stupid given that this is basic math.

script.js
var wholesalePrice = 5.45;
var retailPrice = 9.99;
var quantity = 47;
var salesTotal = retailPrice * quantity;
var profit = salesTotal - wholeSalePrice * quantity;

Your logic is fine. Your problem is wholeSalePrice. JS is case sensitive. You should use wholesalePrice as declared.

Lol I was just about to say that XD I'll upvote you :)

Thank you both for your guidance! I have so much to learn - I need to pay better attention, lol!

var profit = salesTotal - wholeSalePrice * quantity;

Should be:

var profit = salesTotal - wholesalePrice * quantity;

(case-sensitive issue)
